November minis

November was a slow month for me for painting - way too much going on at work and not much time to do much else.

Luckily it didn't stop me completely, so a little random group emerged.

Any excuse for a picture of Karen Gillan .

More Spectrum Reinforcements

My latest finished miniatures from Crooked Dice - The trio of Time Lift Security Detachment Two.

I'm starting to run out of canon colours to use for Spectrum captains now, so I've had to resort to minor characters.

And finally Captain Pink (yes I've really got this desperate for colours now!)

Spectrum Reinforcements - SIG

A few more miniatures from crooked-dice - The Time Lift Commander with a head swap and two Time Lift Security Riflemen modified with the Time Lift Accessories pack.

And with a little work you get Captain Brown and two Spectrum Security guards with hover-packs.

Mystery Inc

Still working my way through my pile of movie & TV related miniatures.

Here's the latest little group to emerge, with some very nice Fenris bases.

Scooby Gang
Hasslefree Miniature's Louise, Barney, Felicity, Wolsey and their dog Hamlet (aka Velma, Fred, Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby Doo).

Tomb Raiding

Ok, so I might be getting a little carried away with basing my miniatures now.

Lara Croft - Tomb Raider
Hasslefree Miniatures Eve along with one of their resin terrain Egyptian Arches. Seemed like a nice match.

Hot Fuzz

Now I've started to get the hang of basing miniatures properly I thought I'd finally have a go at these 3 figures from Hasslefree Miniatures - PC Sam Ford, Officer Nick and Riot Cop Neil.

Jade Pagoda

I like to try and make things that haven't been done before, and looking round the net i couldnt see anyone that had done this one before, or if they have done they haven't posted any pictures. Usually it causes me nothing but headaches and this one wasn't any different!

The Jade Pagoda was the TARDIS escape pod used in some of the Virgin Novels. So that meant only two reference pictures to work with.

Scratch built out of Plastic card. Trying to make the roof on this took an absolute age but I like the final effect.

Just need to finish painting it now, but thought I'd post a couple of WIP pictures.

And with a 7th Doctor and WIP Glaswegian Police Box for scale.

Hellboy

Finally got around to doing the Hellboy conversion of a Hasslefree Harby, standing nicely on a Fenris base.

Well I know everyone seems to have done one of these, but I had to give it a go eventually.

Sin City (revisited)

Finally rebased my Marv miniature as suggested and its made a lot of difference to the whole look!
I really should listen to advice more often :)

Fenris bases are well worth it.

Sin City

A little side project - Marv from Sin City.

I know a lot of people have used the Hasslefree Harby for conversions, but I just wanted the classic comic book look instead.

Marv from Sin City

At some point I'll give the conversion a try and do a Hellboy version.

The Pandorica (doesn't open)

I like finding things to scratch build that no one else seems to have tried out yet.

They dont always come out the way I'd hoped but its always worth a try :)

The Pandorica and The Doctor (with Fez).

Spectrum Is ... even Greener

And now at last an almost complete set of Spectrum agents. There are a couple still missing (Captains Brown and Magenta) I know, but I ran out of miniatures.

Spectrum - Colonel White, Captain Scarlet, Captain Blue, Captain Grey, the Male and Female Lieutenant Green,  and the Male and Female Captain Ochre

But what good is Spectrum without Captain Black to battle against? :)

Spectrum Is Green

The other little project thats had me busy is the new range of Time Lift Security figures from Crooked Dice.

Still a little rough at the moment but I'm working a complete set of Spectrum Agents.

I went for the two obvious ones first - Captain Scarlet and Captain Blue!

I'll post final pictures once I'm finished the set off.

Wonderful Chap, all of them

Well its a new year so a quick update on whats been keeping me busy over the past few weeks.

After my bias towards the Master's I thought it was about time I evened then odds a little.

Theres still a little finishing off to do with the faces an some small details but for the most part all 11 are now finished! :)

Happy New Year !
